Miss O and her parents spent Thanksgiving at Grammy's place this year. I enjoyed cooking for them and especially enjoyed having them spend the night, especially when Miss O declared my sofa bed to be the most awesome thing she'd ever seen.

For those of you who don't live in Alabama, football is a religion here. And a girl has to wear her game day clothes every weekend during football season. And what's a Grammy for if not to provide game day clothes?

Many thanks to my daughter-in-law for posting this on Facebook so I could steal it for here. I think Olivia has inherited the art gene from her mommy and daddy. And her attention to detail is terrific. Notice all the bling. ;-)

All of us are wondering just how this child can be five years old and starting kindergarten. But she is and here are a few photos taken this morning before she headed off to a new adventure.
Sound asleep before the big day begins.

Here's a catch-up post with a few photos from the past couple months. I'll be spending 4th of July weekend with Olivia and I promise to take lots of pictures.
Here's one of two beautiful girls just chillin' on the sofa. And here's Miss O with the Easter Bunny. Olivia and her daddy went on a kids-and-dads camping trip to Dismals Canyon on Easter weekend. Dismals Canyon is near Phil Campbell and Hackleburg, the two towns devastated by the April 27 tornadoes. Ocean Week at school. The kids had to draw out of a hat and Olivia got the whale shark. She looks right at home with that microphone in her hand.

On January 10, 2011, Alabama experienced rare snowfall. While Grammy's area received reported amounts of eight to ten inches, Olivia didn't get quite that much. However, it was enough to get some use from her cute snow gear and experience some fun.
Isn't she the cutest snow bunny you've ever seen?
How about a snowball fight?
Necessity is the mother of invention and a storage tub lid seems to work as well as a sled.
