Just a Little Off the Back, Please

Where was this cute seat when my boys were little?

And in other developments, Olivia started walking about a week and a half ago. I got to see her toddle along when I spent the night with them last week on my way to the Romance Writers of America conference in Dallas. Gosh, she just gets cuter every day. But look out, Mama and Daddy! She's mobile now and anything goes.

Adventures in Babysitting

Papa and Grammy got to keep Olivia while her mommy and daddy went to the beach with friends. I had forgotten how much work babies are because I was exhausted every night after Olivia went to bed. But we enjoyed our time with her and had so much fun playing and singing and watching Elmo videos, and I wanted to share a few snapshots and video clips.

Poor Papa. His flight was cancelled and the next flight home arrived about 8 hours after his original arrival time. So he had them route him to Birmingham and I drove there to pick him up. What a shame since Olivia lives about 10 minutes from the airport. We had fun playing with her toys today.

My, How She's Grown!

She's eight months old and growing so fast. She has more hair, more teeth and jabbers and babbles a lot. She can play patty-cake and wave bye-bye and tries to mimic the sounds she hears. We have to watch our language now. *g*

Just like her daddy

She sucks her fingers just like her daddy did when he was a baby. And I'm wondering if sucking the left ones means she's going to be a southpaw like Daddy too.
