I Scream, You Scream

Olivia screams for ice cream!
I think the photos are pretty self-explanatory and that she likes chocolate a lot.

Yum-oh!

Olivia Comes to Visit

Daddy and his friends went on a camping trip and Mommy needed some time off, so Olivia came to visit Grammy and Papa. Unfortunately we had lots of rain so we didn't get to go outside, but Grammy had been shopping for some new toys so we had plenty of fun.

Here are a few photos.

See how big she is!

You buy toys and they prefer the box.

Chilling after a hard day at play.

Oh my gosh! This corn is good.

Bunny Ears -- What Every Girl Needs for the Spring Season

Olivia brought her Wonder Pets DVD and introduced Grammy and Papa to Linny, Tuck and Ming-Ming. If you haven't seen Wonder Pets, you really need to check it out. It's a Nick Jr. production and on the Noggin channel. In short, it's three classroom animals with a tin-can phone that receives distress calls from animals in trouble. The story is told in a combination of spoken dialogue and singing. It's operetta at its finest.

Check it out.

And here's Olivia waving bye to the Wonder Pets.

Miscellaneous Video

From the weekend with Grammy and Papa

Apparently it's more fun to transfer the goldfish back and forth from the cupholder than it is to eat them.

Check out the interesting fork technique.

Has she been watching Rachel Ray?

"Rain! Ice!" No, it's Snow!

Snow in Alabama is a rarity so when it happens, you run outside and marvel at the wonder of it.

Olivia's first snow on January 19, 2008. According to reports from her mommy, she loved it "She kept saying 'rain!,' then she would point to the ground and say, 'ice!'

Playing with Her Christmas Toys

The chef at Chez Olivia shops for the finest ingredients.

And then, wearing her chef's hat and oven mitt, she prepares her secret recipes in her very own kitchen.

She's also wearing the very cute, very soft and I imagine very warm outfit her Grammy gave her for Christmas. ;-) It's the hottest new fashion for all chefs.

Was she naughty or nice?

She sat on Santa's lap and told him she'd been a very good girl.

Is there something in there?

The next Rachael Ray?

Christmas can be so tiring.

First we cooked and then we tried drawing.

Inspecting her new bathtub duckies.

It looks like Santa decided she was very, very nice.

Christmas 2007

My, how she's grown!

Christmas 2006 - 6 months old

Christmas 2007 - 18 months old

She's the most special Christmas gift of all.

I can't wait to see her reaction to Santa.

Visting on Turkey Day

Guess who came to visit for Thanksgiving? For the first time in a long time we had the whole family around the table at Thanksgiving, and that's a lot to be thankful for. We're all healthy and happy and enjoying life.

More Adventures in Babysitting

Last week I went to Birmingham and kept Olivia for two days because her day care was closed. I'll admit I was a little worried about being able to (1) keep up with her and (2) keep her occupied. She's pretty fast, but Grammy can still out-run her, and she does a pretty good job of keeping herself occupied with her toys and books. And she loves to play outside. Unfortunately, Grammy forgot to take her camera to the park so there are no shots of her enjoying the outdoors.

But here's a few photos taken inside.

See how tall I am?

And then Elmo said...

My what a big Koosh ball that is!

She loves her books. Yay!

In style with her new purse.

Wheeeeeee!

Beach Baby

Olivia had her first full day at the beach last weekend. It appears she enjoyed it, though I have it on good authority she didn't really like the sand.

Look out beach! Here I come!

Posing at the seashore.

Now let's turn the other way.

How about a kiss for the camera?

I just LOVE my sunglasses!

But this pretty white stuff doesn't taste very good.

Making a new friend at the beach.

Uh... wait a minute. Come back with the sand buckets.

Chilling with Mommy.

Pretty as a Picture

She's growing so quickly and changes each time I see her. Her adorable outfit is a creation by her other grandmother.

One Ringy Dingy

What do you do with your old cell phone?

Give it to a fourteen-month-old so she can learn how to make phone calls at an early age. She already knows to open it, push the buttons and put to her ear and say "Hello!"

Cracker, Thank You, Uh Oh and ... Whatever

She's on the move!

Just a Little Off the Back, Please

Where was this cute seat when my boys were little?

And in other developments, Olivia started walking about a week and a half ago. I got to see her toddle along when I spent the night with them last week on my way to the Romance Writers of America conference in Dallas. Gosh, she just gets cuter every day. But look out, Mama and Daddy! She's mobile now and anything goes.
